How do you help students discern multiple dialects when learning a new language? Lecturer Inma Navarro, with the NC State Department of Foreign Languages and Literatures, received a DELTA Grant to develop a better way for students to hear native speakers from different regions.

If you wish you could increase student engagement with your course content in a social, user-friendly fashion, check out the Perusall tool! Students can post social/collaborative annotations to a wide range of content from articles and documents to videos and podcasts. It is now available in Moodle.

Moodle Roadmap Plug-In: Developed at NC State and Available to the World

NC State faculty now have access to the Moodle Roadmap tool. Courses in which mastery of material in one unit is imperative for success in the following unit are excellent ones to incorporate Roadmap. Preliminary studies show student success increases when they feel empowered to self-regulate their academic journey.

DELTA Supports Development of New Textile Reverse-Engineering Course

A DELTA Grant supported the development of a new online graduate-level textile course which focused on the reverse-engineering of products. The resulting deliverables for this course were presented at the American Society for Engineering Education Conference in June.

These sessions focus on NC State’s innovative academic instructional technologies.
