Accessibility Tip: WAVE Tool

WAVE is a set of website evaluation tools developed by WebAIM. WAVE can help make web content more accessible to individuals with disabilities by testing a website for a number of accessibility and Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) errors. While automated web accessibility scanners cannot find every potential barrier, WAVE is a helpful tool that can give you a head-start and make website testing faster and easier.

It is available as a web-based version and a browser toolbar for Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. For password-protected sites like those behind the Shibboleth login, or for teams who routinely work on website content, NC State OIT has a license to Pope Tech, which is based on the WAVE tool.
