2018 Pride of the Wolfpack Award Recipients

Eight DELTA staff members were honored with the Pride of the Wolfpack Award at a staff meeting Oct. 4, 2018. The award recognizes staff members who go above and beyond and make a special or unique contribution to their unit or university as a whole.

Launching the Doctor of Design Program: A Collaborative Journey

In collaboration with DELTA, the NC State College of Design launched the only online Doctor of Design program in the country. This flexibility is intended to converge technology, innovation, and academic rigor to create an effective program with a focus design investigation. Learn about the making of this program.

Highlights from InfoComm and UBTech

A group of DELTA staff took to Las Vegas in June to attend the 2018 UBTech conference and the InfoComm trade show produced by AVIXA™, the Audiovisual and Integrated Experience Association. The group shared some of their favorite sessions and key takeaways from the events.

A new Inside DELTA highlighting the life of DELTA staff in their day-to-day work routines and life outside the workplace. Jiakaira Dixon is the media production coordinator in Video Communication Services who schedules resources and DELTA classroom facilities. Dixon loves crafting, coupon-shopping and spending time with her family.

Agile at DELTA: Communication is Key

For the second year, a team of DELTA staff attended the Agile2017 conference in Orlando, Florida, where they experienced a variety of sessions on the Agile philosophy, communication, collaboration, leadership and more. The group returned to DELTA and led a series of workshops for all staff to attend.

DELTA Receives Gold Well Wolfpack Certification

In July 2018, DELTA was recognized as a gold Well Wolfpack Certified Organization for its efforts in creating an active workplace and culture of wellness. DELTA kicked off an official wellness program in April 2018 with a variety of wellness activities and lunch and learns.

Yan Shen is a lead instructional designer and is interested in active learning and evaluation. Shen grew up in Haining, China, and recently took a trip back there with her family.
