DELTA Produced Virtual Tours Promote Exploration

Ten virtual tours were created for NC State as a result of DELTA’s new Express Grant for Virtual Tours in 2021-22 — some inside buildings and some in the great outdoors. These tours provide immersive experiences for students, prospective students and the greater community.

DELTA Supports Development of New Textile Reverse-Engineering Course

A DELTA Grant supported the development of a new online graduate-level textile course which focused on the reverse-engineering of products. The resulting deliverables for this course were presented at the American Society for Engineering Education Conference in June.

Redesigning FOR 339: Name That Plant!

Learning to identify 170 different plant species is no easy task, and students in FOR 339: Dendrology have to do just that. A team of DELTA staff and an NC State instructor redesigned the course and created a new tool to help students along the way.

With the help of a DELTA team spearheaded by Senior Instructional Designer Cathi Dunnagan, Professor Larry Blanton bridged the gap between digital learning and in-person botanical labs. In PB 250: Plant Biology, students engage with plants via interactive 3D web models.
