Design by Katie Harris.

From learning to use Moodle and Zoom to best practices for facilitating engagement, DELTA workshops can help you take your teaching to the next level — in online, hybrid and face-to-face environments.

We’re here to help you keep climbing toward your goals — whether that be implementing Zoom engagement strategies or finally organizing your Moodle course based on quality assurance principles, we have a number of workshops lined up this semester to help you positively impact student success.

New Opportunities

Teaching Online at NC State

Greater flexibility and access are two of the reasons many NC State instructors teach online. When instructors offer an online section of a course, they enable student choice in the delivery method and expand access to more learners, such as full-time working professionals.

Attend this workshop to learn the fundamentals of teaching online at NC State, including university policies impacting online instruction and WolfWare technologies. We also explore campus resources for online learning and review the essential components of a quality online course.

This workshop provides two hours of professional development credit toward the “NC State Online” credential. Learn more about the Teaching Online Pathway

Chat Café: Coffee Talk for Wolfpack Faculty

Looking for a place to connect with colleagues, ask questions and share ideas about teaching in these challenging, uncertain times? Join DELTA, NC State University Libraries, and OFD virtually for the Faculty Chat Café in the spring.

The Chat Café will be open via Zoom on Fridays, 9-10 a.m., beginning Jan. 15, 2021. Additionally, the Café will be open on our spring Wellness Days (Tuesday, Feb. 9; Wednesday, March 24; and Thursday, April 15). Save the dates on your calendar with this recurring Zoom link.

Supporting Students through a Pandemic and Beyond

What are some ways that you can support your students in online learning? What are some resources available at NC State during the pandemic that students can take advantage of to support their learning online? In this session, we will discuss resources and best practices for supporting students during a pandemic, including communication strategies, ways to be flexible, alternative assessments and more.
