DELTA Honored with 2024 Quality Matters “Making a Difference for Students” Award

The NC State DELTA Course Quality team was honored with the 2024 Quality Matters (QM) “Making a Difference for Students” Outstanding Impact by a Higher Education Organization award in recognition of outstanding efforts in service of quality assurance practices in online courses.

Ungrading: Empowering Student Success through Feedback and Reflection

Ungrading is a movement to decenter the role of grades in formal learning environments in favor of qualitative instructor feedback and student self-reflection. With support from a DELTA Exploratory Grant, NC State instructor Lisa Falk implemented a variety of Moodle tools in her courses to foster ungrading success.

Collaborative Research Highlights Value of Inclusive Course Design in Fostering Student Success

Initial findings of new research conducted jointly by DELTA Research and the Office for Faculty Excellence suggest a strong correlation between inclusive teaching practices and positive outcomes for students including increased feelings of belonging, perceptions of instructor caring, overall course satisfaction and course performance.
