Cultural Competency Module Receives Campus Technology Impact Award

The First Impressions virtual reality module received a 2018 Campus Technology Impact Award in the teaching and learning category. Developed in partnership with the Global Training Initiative, the experience allows students to dive into the minds of a global project team.

Agile at DELTA: Communication is Key

For the second year, a team of DELTA staff attended the Agile2017 conference in Orlando, Florida, where they experienced a variety of sessions on the Agile philosophy, communication, collaboration, leadership and more. The group returned to DELTA and led a series of workshops for all staff to attend.

DELTA Receives Gold Well Wolfpack Certification

In July 2018, DELTA was recognized as a gold Well Wolfpack Certified Organization for its efforts in creating an active workplace and culture of wellness. DELTA kicked off an official wellness program in April 2018 with a variety of wellness activities and lunch and learns.

Top Hat Gains Traction at NC State

It’s been one year since NC State acquired a campus license for Top Hat, allowing faculty and students to use it at no cost. We caught up with a few instructors to hear their stories of successfully implementing Top Hat and how the use of this interactive classroom tool is benefiting their teaching as well as student learning.

A Work in Progress: Streamlining Feed Mill Studies

A team of DELTA staff members are working with Adam Fahrenholz and Marissa Herchler on a blended learning grant to enhance the student learning experience in Feed Manufacturing Technology. The team is exploring Matterport to create a virtual tour of NC State’s teaching mill and updating a main assignment.

A new Inside DELTA highlighting the life of DELTA staff in their day-to-day work routines and life outside of the workplace. Yan Shen is a lead instructional designer and is interested in active learning and evaluation. Shen grew up in Haining, China, and recently took a trip back there with her family.
