The “Hot Question” activity is used for students to submit their questions about a topic specified by the instructor. LTI (learning tools interoperability) External Tools are web applications that are integrated into Moodle using the LTI integration. This allows for grade information to be passed between Moodle and the external tool and for roster information to be shared so that students can access tools directly through Moodle. This article provides an overview of what LTI External Tools are available for use in Moodle.
The role that each user is assigned in Gradescope may be set based on the role that they have assigned within Moodle. In some cases, Moodle roles may not map to the appropriate role in Gradescope. Students may complete quizzes asynchronously and during a broad window of time. The review options allow you to indicate what information a student can see about the quiz (grade, responses, etc.) and when that information is made available. The choices are: right after the quiz, while it’s still open and others are completing it, or after it closes when all students should have finished the quiz.

Moodle provides additional statistical information about the student’s performance on a quiz and on specific questions. This article outlines where to find those statistics and some additional information about what data is provided.
There may be situations where grade data for a specific grade item or items has been collected in another location. This article explains how to organize and upload that data directly into the Moodle gradebook in bulk by using a CSV spreadsheet.
If you use the Moodle gradebook to calculate your students’ official course grades, you can use the WolfWare Grade Submit Tool to enter their final grades into MyPack (SIS). This will improve accuracy and save you time, while avoiding the need to manually enter final grades.
Instructors may need to communicate with their students before the first day that their Moodle course is open for students. Prior to that date, Moodle Announcements and other Moodle notifications do not send email communications to students because the Moodle course has not been opened and is not accessible to the students. This article provides instructions for using WolfWare Google Groups to email students ahead of the open-date for a Moodle course.
