The various DELTA workshops offered during this spring semester are now open for registration to teach you the newest tips and tricks regarding PlayPosit, Zoom, Moodle and more.

Facul-Tea
Biweekly beginning Jan. 19, 2022, 12:30-1 p.m.
This 30-minute chat series hosted by the DELTA Faculty Fellows will be offered online every other week to discuss various topics related to blended learning. For specific dates, check REPORTER. The first chat of the spring semester will take place on Wednesday, Jan. 19 at 12:30 p.m., and the topic is “Synergetic Learning Through Sketchnotes.”
Interactive Videos: Student Accountability & Completion with PlayPosit Basics
Jan. 20, 2022, 12-12:45 p.m.
Interactive videos with embedded questions, surveys at the end and required pauses can hold students accountable for watching and interacting with videos in your course This 45-minute virtual session focuses exclusively on the interactive video tool, PlayPosit, in Moodle. You will actively create a video integrating basic question types, finding student interactivity data and integrating student accountability into Moodle through the gradebook and completion tracking/status.
Interactive Videos: Questioning, Discussion, & Using Feedback in PlayPosit
Feb. 3, 2022, 12:30-1:15 p.m.
Interactivity in videos can move beyond multiple-choice questions embedded in course videos using PlayPosit. This webinar will demo some of the more advanced uses of PlayPosit questioning and interactivity, including embedded discussion boards, free-response methods, question and interaction templates, and saving interactions/questions to use again in a future video. Participants will also practice with automatic and personalized feedback options. Participants will start the session using a pre-built interactive video and then edit it to practice with different methods.
Engaging Students with Polling and Annotation in Zoom
Feb. 16, 2022, 11:00-11:45 p.m.
Come to this virtual workshop to learn how to use polling and annotation in Zoom to engage your students, provide real-time knowledge checks and create community – which will ultimately mean that they are more likely to succeed in your course.
Engaging Students Using Breakout Rooms in Zoom
Feb. 23, 2022, 12:30-1:15 p.m.
Putting students in small groups during your synchronous online course is a great way to build community and keep them actively learning. Join this virtual workshop to learn ways to use this tool fluently to help achieve your student engagement goals!
