Spring TLTR Session: The Horizon Report 2010

The New Media Consortium’s (NMC) (http://www.nmc.org) Horizon Report 2010 describes emerging technologies likely to have an impact on teaching, learning or creative inquiry on college and university campuses.

In this session, a panel of NC State faculty and staff who serve on the NMC’s Campus Leaders Advisory Board (C-LAB) will describe and discuss the six emerging technologies that are currently and likely to enter mainstream use in higher education over the next one to five years: Mobile Computing, Open Content, Electronic Books, Simple Augmented Reality, Gesture-Based Computing and Visual Data Analysis. Join us to discuss these technologies and practices and their relevance to education, creativity and research on our campus and beyond.
