DELTA’s Open House Demonstrates Learning Without Limits

On Wednesday, December 2, over seventy-five people braved the cold and rainy weather to attend the second annual DELTA Open House. The Open House featured the latest trends and technologies in advancing knowledge of distance education, e-learning, online teaching strategies, information technologies, and instructional design. Students, faculty and DELTA staff participated in lively discussions.

NC State Distance Education Partners with the Governor’s eLearningNC.gov Initative

On Nov. 16 Gov. Bev Perdue announced the launch of eLearningNC.gov, the entry point to all the eLearning resources North Carolina has to offer. The new Web site will provide an easy one-stop-shop for any North Carolinian, from K-12 students to life-long learners, who wants to take advantage of online learning such as the NC Virtual Public School, online courses from community colleges or universities, and online career building.

Get Your Grades in Early: WolfWare, Moodle and Vista Outages and Grade Submission Update(Archive)

Due to a critical set of hardware and software upgrades that are being performed over the winter break, two of NC State’s Learning Management Systems (LMSs)—WolfWare  and Moodle—will not be available at some point during the grade submission window. Wimba Create (formerly Course Genie) license expiring

We are sorry to announce that Wimba Create (formerly Course Genie) will no longer be licensed for use at NC State. Wimba has moved to a site license only charging model and unfortunately, there is not enough use of the product on campus to justify the expense of maintaining a site license.
