DELTA Offers New Ways to Strengthen Your Teaching With Tech Skills

At this time in the semester, we know you’re busy teaching and advising, so we want to offer you a few ways to learn or refresh your teaching with technology skills that fit in your schedule. A self-paced Moodle course, online 30-minute workshops, and faculty-led webinar series are our new offerings.

Inclement Weather Disrupts Testing: Q+A with Tom Miller(Archive)

In December, snow caused a disruption to the start of fall semester final exams. After the university reopened, DELTA test centers struggled to keep up with demand from test-takers. Senior Vice Provost Tom Miller discusses how students were impacted and the steps taken to improve the process at the test centers, including implementing appointment-only testing this semester.

First in Quality Matters at NC State

Seven faculty members recently became the first at NC State to have online courses certified by the nationally recognized Quality Matters organization. This prestigious achievement proves NC State’s commitment to quality online teaching and learning and the success of every student.

Appointment-Only Testing Begins at DELTA Spring 2019(Archive)

Beginning spring 2019, all testing at the DELTA Test Centers will be by appointment only. Faculty who use DELTA Testing Services should update their syllabus statement to alert students of the change. As a reminder, student study space is no longer available at the Centennial Campus Test Center.

As a DELTA Faculty Fellow, Stacy Supak will investigate how experiences in online courses influence student success. She specializes in online learning and teaches half of the credit hours at the Center for Geospatial Analytics.

DELTA Welcomes New Class of Faculty Fellows

DELTA is excited to welcome four new Faculty Fellows for the 2018-2019 cycle. James McConnell, Justin Post, Melissa Ramirez and Stacy Supak will partner with DELTA to share teaching with technology best practices through a variety of activities. The four new Fellows will join Angie Smith who is continuing her grant through summer 2019.
