Finance and Business Office Supports DELTA and More

While housed in DELTA, the Finance and Business office has a hand in each unit of Academic Outreach and Entrepreneurship. This past year, the Finance and Business office modified staff job functions to better align duties within the team which included internal training to distribute responsibilities.

A Work in Progress: Animal Nutrition for Companion Pets

DELTA worked with Teaching Assistant Professor Kimberly Ange-van Heugten on a Distance Education Course Grant to create a new course focused on animal nutrition for canines and felines. Students will use the various deliverables from DELTA to create a simulation of a specialized cat or dog food for their final project.

Equipped with interactive lessons, quizzes and a range of NC State resources, the revised Virtual Orientation gives students an impressive toolkit for success in their online courses. The updated orientation was completed in May 2017 to create a more interactive experience.

Tobey Completes Performance Leadership Program

Lead Instructional Designer Bethanne Tobey completed the Performance Leadership Program in June 2017 and since then has been working to implement the things she learned into her day-to-day work. Learning about interpersonal communication and leading change in organizations were beneficial topics for Tobey.
