The DELTA Knowledge Base is a great resource for instant support to help answer many WolfWare, Moodle or general instructional technology questions you may have — and is constantly being updated! Just navigate to our DELTA Knowledge Base homepage, and in the search bar provided, type in the specific tool or problem you might need help with to see what articles are available to assist in resolving the issue.

When building a Moodle quiz activity, an instructor will likely want to preview the quiz layout and questions before formally administering the assessment to their students. The Moodle Quiz Preview feature allows an instructor to take the assessment and experience first hand what the students will encounter themselves when taking the quiz.

Moodle provides a number of different options for filtering through courses and user data. Some of these reports include editing options for due dates, or activity completion, while others are purely informational.

The Grader report is a wide-view of all grade items, category totals, and students in the course.  It’s displayed in a spreadsheet format with grade items making up individual columns, which are grouped into categories and subcategories. There has been a collection of changes made to this Grader Report as part of our upgrade to Moodle 4.3, so be sure to check out this article for more detailed information.

The Moodle Choice Activity can be used in a Moodle course as a low-stakes polling or survey tool for a variety of use cases.

Within a Moodle quiz, instructors can group questions into  “sections” for easier navigation and reporting. “Marks per section” is a report that can be run after the quiz close date to inform the instructor which quiz sections had better or worse performance by their students.

The Weekly format in a Moodle Course will identify a specific week/section as “this week” and highlight it for students’ attention.  Depending on the start date of the course in Moodle, the current week may be identified incorrectly.
