DELTA Grants Recipients attend orientation
On Monday, August 31, all new DELTA Grants recipients were invited to an orientation meeting in EB II on Centennial Campus. After a greeting from Senior Vice Provost Tom Miller, the grant recipients paired off for an icebreaker activity. Each pair introduced their partner to the group and shared what his/her grant would be focused on.
After a short break, the Faculty Fellows broke out to discuss their roles with Associate Director Ashley Grantham, while a course production team walked through a 2014-2015 DELTA grant project to the other grant recipients. Led by PRTM faculty member and grant recipient Annette Moore, the team discussed the complete process from awarding the grant to implementing the result. Representing members of the PRT 358 team were Yan Shen (instructional designer), David Tredwell (multimedia specialist) and Laurie Gyalog (project coordinator).
After the presentation, the course grant recipients gathered with their Project Leads to meet and plan kick-off meetings. The group came back together for a brief question-and-answer session about the process in general with Assistant Director Daniel Davis.
The DELTA Grants Orientation was planned and led by Bethanne Tobey (lead instructional designer) and David Tredwell (lead interaction designer/developer).
